Seedless Guayaba
I am inwards United Mexican U.S. at the moment, dorsum from an amazing dinner of steak, wine, too assorted organ meats. I was speaking amongst a Mexican colleage too friend, too he told me an interesting floor of fnding a seedless guayaba tree.
Several years ago, he discovered that his sister-in-law had a tree which bore seedless guayaba. When asked where it came from, she said that she had bought some seedless guayaba from a street vendor inwards Zamora, Mexico, too inwards them she had flora a unmarried seed, which she had planted too it had grown into a tree which produced seedless fruit.
My friend too his married adult woman started bespeak to a greater extent than or less whenever they were inwards Zamora, until i solar daytime they flora a fruit seller who had i time sold the seedless guayaba. But alas, he no longer had them. The human who had sold them to him could no longer render them. But he gave directions to where the human lived.
They drove out to him, too yes, he had i time had a tree which produced seedless fruit. But a few years agone it had started producing seeded fruit.
After a niggling research, the mystery was solved. Turns out, the formerly seedless flora produces no feasible pollen. The transformation from seedless to seeded coincided perfectly amongst the begin flowering of another guayabas the human had late planted.
When propagated too planted inwards isolation from other guayabas, it i time once again was seedless.
Not earth-shattering perhaps, only definitely cool.
